Eagles Down Warriors, 13-8Posted Monday, February 11, 2008 by Bill Baker Winter Garden, FL - The West Orange Warriors lost their first game of the season to Edgewater, 13-8, Thursday night at Ray Screws Field. The Warriors were unable to hold off the Eagles' attack in the second half. WO was led by junior goalie Garrett Wise who had a career-high 17 saves. Top scorers for WO included attackmen Gian Rios (So.), Dan Crayner (So.) and senior midfielder Chip Mitchel each with two goals. The Warriors fall to 1-1 on the season as Edgewater pick up a win in their season opener. West Orange will now begin their four-week road trip, beginning with games at University (Thursday, 2/14) and Hagerty (2/15). |
