
Winter Garden, Fla. – The West Orange Warriors will host the District 6 Championships beginning today, April 1, with semifinal action. The Warriors’ quest to win its third-straight district title will begin with a game today vs. Apopka. The Warriors are seeded No.2 in the tournament, which also includes Ocoee and East Ridge.
The winner of the WO/Apopka game will take on the winner of the Ocoee/East Ridge game on Thursday, April 3 at 8pm at West Orange Field.
The Warriors (9-7) come into the District 6 Championships winning five of its last six games, including an impressive 13-8 victory over Seminoles County’s Lyman High School to end the regular season. WO defeated Apopka, 13-9, earlier in the season in a hard-fought game that had the Warriors outscoring the Blue Darters, 6-0, in the fourth quarter to ensure the victory. Tonight’s semifinal action with begin at 6pm (#2 WO/#3 APK) and conclude with the second game at 8pm (#1 Ocoee/#4 ER).
